The female watched the armored figure go down into the hold, blaster still trained on him. She went down after him, wondering how she was going to spend her million plus credits. She stepped from the last rung and turned around to find Fett's dart launcher aimed at her neck. Fett smirked slightly under his helmet at the startled look on her face. She had made a mistake trying to take him in. To his surprise, the startled look changed rapidly as she brought up her blaster and aimed it at his neck. Her fiery eyes and his helmeted gaze met in a silent clash. It was like a battle without words, a battle of will. They stood this way for many minutes, weapons on each other, waiting for one to make a move. "He was right. You aren't coming along willingly," she said breaking the silence.
"You were wrong to think I would." Her gaze narrowed in irritation.
"I don't want to shoot you. You're worth a lot. Now, we can break this stalemate and you can go in that cage quietly. Or, I can make you."
"I'd like to see you try."
The girl moved fast. Faster than he thought she would. She ducked under his arm grabbing his forearm and then swiftly elbowed him in the stomach. It didn't do much but it was enough to make him bend double slightly and give her some time. Her hands moving like lightning, she undid the armor where the launcher was strapped and tossed it back up into the cockpit. Then she spun around him. Though Fett was young, he was still fast. He turned with her but she shoved him into the ladder that led up to the cockpit, her arm against his neck. He grimaced as a rung dug into the back of his neck and her arm dug in from the front. "You would have liked option A better," she said leaning in close to his visor. "Now." She pulled him away from the ladder, moved around to his back, hooked her right arm under his, and with her left, pulled his left around into a painful position. "Into the cage you go." With some unseen strength, she shoved him roughly into the open cage and slammed the door shut. "See, now I'm the bounty hunter and you're the merchandise that sits helpless in his own cage." She brushed her hands off and with a smug little smirk, disappeared back up into the cockpit.
Fett, from his position on the floor, slammed his fist into the floor. How that female managed to subdue him in his own ship and imprison him in his own holding cages were beyond him. He seethed for a few minutes, more angry with himself than with the female. Fett took a deep breath to calm himself and settled back in the cage to think. This girl, she had to be a smart fighter and smart mechanic to get past Slave 1's code encrypted defenses, clip some wires without triggering a huge explosion that would happen to any rookie who would try to tamper with the engine, and trick him so he wound up in his own prison. Who was this girl? And where did she learn all those things?
The bounty hunter sat down in the pilot's seat and holstered her blaster. She was glad she had a chance to try out her moves on someone. Her skills were a little rusty. She had really hoped this would've been more challenging. Fett had been given the title "galaxy's most feared bounty hunter" about four years back when he took down a Jedi Master named Mace Windu and a few other of his Jedi pals. The word spread fast. Soon, it was the topic of most cantina conversations. Some big threats were taken down by Boba Fett as well. The galaxy's former best bounty hunter, if that's what you would call him, the Trandoshan Cradossk had been fooled several times by Fett. Most of those times, he ended up losing merchandise to Fett.
Yes, things had been easy when she dealt with him. Maybe.......maybe too easy. He had to have some trick or another up his armored sleeve. She re- attached some wires and started up the Slave 1. Almost simultaneously, a screen came up, asking for a password. After doing some research on Fett's most recent whereabouts, she had gotten the long password from a security camera in a hanger on Couroscant. She typed it in but then, another screen came up asking for another password. This time, along with it came a notice that if you entered the wrong password, it would trigger an explosion deep in the core causing the whole ship to explode. Her hands fell limply from the keyboard, a look of helplessness on her face. Down in the hold, Fett smirked broadly and almost chuckled. Some people claimed him to be paranoid but, at the moment, it was saving him. Five, four, three, two.........as 'one' entered his head, the girl came down the ladder and stormed over to the cage. He looked coolly up at her. "You paranoid scum! I was this close to over a million credits before you had to-"
Before she could finish, the ship's frame was rocked by an explosion. "What in the name of blasters was that?"
"Come out Fett! I've got something to tell you and you won't like it!" an angry voice shouted from outside. Fett rolled his eyes.
"It's just Cradossk. Let me out and I'll deal with him," he said standing up.
"No way! You think I'm that dumb?" she cried getting up in his face. Another explosion rocked Slave 1. He reached out and grabbed the front of her shirt.
"No but I will if that lizard blows up my ship."
"R-right." She slapped his hand away and unlocked the cage. Fett blew by her and disappeared into the cockpit.
"I recommend you stay down there," his voice said.
"So I can't see your password?" she retorted. No reply. She sighed and sat down at the bench he had been cleaning his weapons at. Up in the cockpit, Fett had entered his second password and the ship welcomed him. Cradossk would regret trying to blow him up.
